Major local employer Hydratight has secured the future of 85 staff at Red Wing by finalizing a long-term lease in town.

Red Wing, which has been a base for manufacturing, field services/rental and office support staff for more than 23 years, remains a strategically important hub for the joint integrity company.

“The Red Wing Port Authority has a long history of working closely with what was originally D.L. Ricci and now Hydratight and subsequent expansions.  This is great news for the 85 employees and the City of Red Wing.  Thank you Hydratight for securing your home in Red Wing.” Interim Director Shari Chorney

Recently, a decision was made to consolidate manufacturing to a sister facility affecting approximately 15 jobs. A redundancy package and employment support for those affected by the change was facilitated by the company.

Hydratight has committed to a fifteen (15) year lease on Moundview Drive and will continue to serve the Americas Region with high quality rental and services and expertise of its committed workforce. This includes sales, research and development, engineering, customer services and finance staff.

Steve Earney, Service Sales and Marketing Leader, said, “Hydratight has been part of the Red Wing community since 1994 and an active part of the Red Wing Manufacturer’s Association to encourage training and technical careers in the area. The long term lease reflects our commitment to the region and to Red Wing’s professional and service personnel which are an outstanding asset to Hydratight.”
