Transient Dock
27 Feb 2017
Viking Cruises is working to have luxury river vessels traveling from New Orleans to St. Paul by 2017. The City of Red Wing and the Red Wing Port Authority have been planning and preparing for over five years to host larger vessels through the improvement of a transient dock. According to the Red Wing Port Authority, the new transient dock will cost around $1 million.
The hope of the new transient dock is to capitalize on the city’s historical significance and beauty to become a destination stop for many larger passenger vessels. Through the increased tourism and economic development opportunities, Red Wing will greatly benefit from this plan. For more information, please click here: http://ow.ly/FTYU308lAQY
