Dan Rogness hired as Community Development Director for the City of Red Wing, MN
(February 27, 2017, Red Wing, Minn.) – The City of Red Wing is happy to announce the addition of Dan Rogness as the first City of Red Wing Community Development Director. He will begin employment with the City on March 20, 2017.

For the past five years, Dan Rogness has been the Community & Economic Development Director for the City of Prior Lake, a suburb of 25,000 in the southwestern Twin Cities. Prior to that, he worked for the Dakota County Community Development Agency, and for the cities of Rosemount and Northfield. His work experience has focused on zoning, planning, building inspections, housing development, historic preservation, redevelopment and economic development.
Dan is excited to utilize his past experience to help form a new Community Development Department in Red Wing. He sees many assets in Red Wing related to its setting, residents and businesses. While working in Northfield, Dan connected with other similar communities to share information back and forth, including Red Wing, Hastings and Stillwater.

Dan currently lives in Savage with his wife Julie. They have two grown children and three grandchildren. Dan is also active in the art community with his photography.
