Sculpture in its native habitat
22 May 2017
The best way to size up large sculpture is out in the open, where there is plenty of room to view it. That’s why art lovers come to the Anderson Center at Tower View with more than 30 sculptures in a 15-acre park, including works by Charles Biederman, Zoran Mojsilov and Siah Armajani.
The park has walking trails, signs to explain the sculptures and picnic spots. After checking out the sculpture, visitors can enjoy views of the Cannon River Valley and look over a model of the solar system. See a slideshow of current sculpture here: http://ow.ly/S2kt305mwWm
In addition to the sculpture garden, the Center has an indoor permanent art collection. It features work by Picasso, Salvador Dali, Willem de Kooning and other major artists.
