It’s all in the name, to a degree
3 Jul 2017
A name that resonates can inspire loyalty and local pride. But it must mean something special to people. That’s why the Minnesota State College Southeast Technical is changing theirs.
The school is now offering Associate of Arts degrees, providing more options for students in the community and make transfers to four-year colleges easier. To go along with the new degree, the school wants a new name, one that reflects its mission and its importance in Winona and Red Wing.
The school sees its mission as providing practical programs that help the students get jobs with local companies, especially in healthcare, trades and technology.
