Art for everyone: book fairs to glassblowing
24 Jul 2017
Art isn’t an elitist project at the Anderson Center at Tower View. Everyone gets a chance to enjoy and learn. Instructors offer classes year round, including glassblowing and pottery. About 6,000 people from the surrounding area participate in events at the Center each year.
Events include the Celebration of Minnesota Children’s Authors and Illustrators, lectures by poets, exhibitions, book fairs, art festivals and performances. The Center has art-related retreats and symposia.
The Anderson Center at Tower Road also gives a scholarship each year to a local graduate and presents the A.P. Anderson Award for Outstanding Contributions to Literature and the Arts in Minnesota.
