Brewing history one bottle at a time

Red Wing has been a beer center since the mid-1800s. By 1867 it had five thriving breweries. The trade prospered until Prohibition, and the last one closed its doors in 1951.
The town had to wait six decades for a new brew house. The Red Wing Brewery opened its doors in 2011 on Old West Main, considered the brewery district in years gone by. Though small in output, it produces a flavorful brew that is sold only at their brewery. That means the beer in your glass is as fresh as beer can get.
Red Wing Brewery produces historical brews like Cokins Red Wing Beer, craft beer like Barn Bluff Brown, and even Good Old Zimmie’s Root Beer.
