Red Wing Arts Association

21 Dec 2015

The Red Wing Arts Association is located in the historic depot along the Mississippi River in downtown Red Wing, Minnesota. In addition, the site hosts the AMTRAK depot, as well as the Red Wing Visitor and Convention Bureau. It is “the oldest arts organization in Red Wing, beginning in 1952 as an interactive arts educational program.”

Their support of the arts incorporates all forms of fine, applied, and performing arts at every level within the Red Wing community. The mission of Red Wing Arts Association is “to inspire creativity and appreciation of the arts,” and “to be a driving force for an active and dynamic arts community in Red Wing and the surrounding area.”

The Red Wing Arts Association hosts many events and exhibitions, including Plein Air, Concerts in the Park, and the Garden Tour. Not only that, but they also have a day to decorate umbrellas to proclaim the talent of area school students, and have pumpkin carving in the fall in addition to the highly anticipated Fall Festival.
