25 Jan 2016

Started in 1902 by George A. Archer and John W. Daniels, the Archer Daniels Midland Company (or what is now known as ADM) was born. What began as a linseed crushing business quickly transformed into a major profit center for agribusiness. “With a worldwide transportation network and more than 265 locations, ADM continues to partner with farmers and agriculture to create markets for their products around the globe.”

“As the world's population grows, so does demand for quality foods, feed ingredients for livestock, alternative fuels, and environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional chemicals. As one of the world's leading agricultural processors, ADM plays a pivotal role in meeting all of these needs.” ADM produces the food ingredients, animal feeds, biofuels, and other products that manufacturers use around the world to provide wholesome food and better lives.

ADM has many locations around the globe, including one in Red Wing, Minnesota. The processing facility in the city of Red Wing is located along the Mississippi River and works to crush “flax and canola for various uses including protein for animal feed and oil for industrial uses.”
