Celebrate Manufacturers Month with Events in the Red Wing Area Throughout October

9 Oct 2019

In celebration of Manufacturers Month, the Red Wing Area Chamber of Commerce has developed a full schedule of exciting activities to highlight the importance of manufacturers. Each year in October, local area manufacturers and the contributions they add to our community are spotlighted. There will be events throughout the month of October, including the Annual Manufacturing Appreciation Luncheon, the 12th Annual Business Expo, a Trivia Night, and educational seminars. There is also a full schedule of local manufacturer factory tours! All local manufacturers and their supporters are invited to attend the events.

Annual Manufacturing Appreciation Luncheon

The Chamber, along with the Red Wing Area Manufacturers Association, Red Wing Port Authority and the St. James Hotel, will be holding the Annual Manufacturing Appreciation Luncheon on Monday, October 14. All manufacturers and the businesses that support them are invited to attend. The luncheon will take place at the St. James Hotel on the 5th floor from 11:30am-1:30pm.

This year’s speaker, Jeremiah Pauley, hails from the blue-collar town of Massillon, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army for over 10 years, until he was medically retired due to a nearly fatal shrapnel injury. He retired as a staff sergeant.

Since retirement, Jeremiah began involvement with the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). The WWP inspired him to regain control of his physical well-being and helped him develop a positive attitude in regards to his injuries. He now shares his story to inspire others as a WWP spokesperson and a member of the National Speakers Association.

Governor’s Certificates of Commendation will be presented and updates on manufacturing in the area will be given. Cost for the event is $10 per person. Reservations are required. To reserve a spot, call the Chamber office at 651-388-4719 or email frontdesk@redwingchamber.com.
