DEED’s Border-to-Border Broadband Development Grant will improve access for area businesses and residents
St. Paul – Governor Tim Walz and Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) Commissioner Steve Grove visited Melrose on Monday, January 27 to find out how a $393,890 Border-to-Border Broadband Development Grant will help local businesses and residents by providing reliable, high-speed internet.
“Broadband internet access is critical to building thriving communities,” said Governor Walz. “No one knows this better than leaders of local businesses Farm Systems and Warrior Boats, Inc. who met with us during our visit. With this broadband grant, these companies will be able to expand their services and hire more employees.”
