Discovering a 1, 2 punch: Hidden Storage Boxing about more than fitness
18 Mar 2019
For Red Wing native Alex Simanski, boxing is more than just a sport, it's a release from life. As founder and owner of Hidden Storage Boxing in Red Wing, Simanski is excited to share his passion for the sport with the community.
Formerly an employee at a restaurant, Simanski said he became bored of his repetitive routine and what he deemed a "bad quality of life."
"I woke up one day hungover and was driving by a boxing gym in the Cities," said Simanski, who stopped to take a picture in front of the building with no intention of entering. "I went inside that day and I haven't gotten drunk since. Boxing kind of saved my life."
