State Job Vacancies Reach 13-Year High

ST. PAUL – Job vacancies in Minnesota climbed to their highest level in 13 years in the second quarter, with employers reporting nearly 84,700 openings statewide, according to figures released today by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED).
DEED said the second-quarter figures were up 16.7 percent from the same period a year ago. Statewide, there were 3.3 openings per 100 jobs during the second quarter. That compares with 2.8 openings per 100 jobs a year earlier.
