Retiring Habitat for Humanity director named Goodhue County Citizen of the Year

Parker Quammen paused a moment, looking back on his 14-year stint as executive director of Goodhue County Habitat for Humanity. Then, fighting back tears, he spoke.

“When I think about stories, I immediately think about particular families that have faced difficulties and how we’ve been able to help them,” he said. “One of the things that is so gratifying about what I do is I have really gotten to know these families on a very profound level.”
