Ace receives recognition when needed it most

A local hardware store where many turn to for help and guidance was on the receiving end of a helping hand from the community earlier this year. Red Wing Ace Hardware was named the Retail Business of the Year for 2015, a year that challenged the local business greatly. Owners Troy and Lisa Daniels found themselves in a rough patch during the first phase of Highway 61 construction last summer.
“It was the perfect storm of construction restrictions for us,” Troy said. “Between the work on Highway 61, Old West Main Street and Levee Road, it was probably one of the hardest things we have gone through.”
