Communication king for businesses to ‘survive and thrive’

The summertime construction on Highway 61 can make it hard for downtown businesses to survive and thrive, but Red Wing Downtown Main Street invited business owners to a discussion of how to do just that Wednesday.
The event included two segments: one-on-one consultations to address business owners’ concerns, and two roundtable sessions lead by Jay Schlinsog with Downtown Professionals Network to discuss strategies to get customers in the door, keep customers there and put a “positive spin” on construction processes during the bustling second phase of the project.
