Associated Bank to sell downtown building, drive-through location to get a facelift

Associated Bank leadership gathered a group of business owners and community members Thursday evening to learn about the bank’s real estate activities in Red Wing.
Branch Manager Jonas Gonstead said the bank’s current location in the historic Goodhue County National Bank building at one time housed over 100 employees.
“Things have changed in banking,” Gonstead said. “We’ve gone digital with the changing demands of our customers. Everyone is using online and mobile banking. You don’t see line of customers out the door anymore.”

Aug 18 2016Minnesota employers added 7,300 jobs in June, according to seasonally adjusted figures, and the overall unemployment rate remained a steady 3.8 percent.
Those gains, however, were largely offset by figures from May that were revised from 1,900 jobs lost to 8,400 jobs lost.
