Q&A: Red Wing Port Authority leader focuses on riverfront
7 Dec 2021
Over a month into his new role as executive director of the Red Wing Port Authority, Kyle Klatt already has big goals for the riverfront community.
They range from pedestrian trail expansions to work on new multifamily developments to further investments in its riverfront. Klatt joined the city’s economic development agency following development and planning roles with several Minnesota cities.
“The river has always been critically important for Red Wing, going back to its days as a wheat shipper,” Klatt said.
He’s replacing Dan Rogness, who is retiring after serving as executive director since March 2017, according to a news release.
