Accelerator Program

The business accelerator program at Red Wing Ignite (RWI) is meant to help early stage entrepreneurs. “Unlike bigger cities, the community and the organizations in Red Wing are aligned so that you can launch your businesses faster with fewer logistical challenges.”

RWI also has a network of mentors who are there to help entrepreneurs. These entrepreneurial mentors work to support science, technology, and engineering projects “by providing advice and training to prepare early stage entrepreneurs for their next step. These mentors work with entrepreneurs versus telling them what to do, and there is no specified length of time they can work with them.

The business accelerator at RWI is for those who need help getting from idea to company. In order to do so, RWI invests their space, time, and resources in exchange for equity in the business. They “partner with investors who are seeking business opportunities with the following criteria: passionate teams; proprietary technology; validation in the market; strong value proposition; rapidly growing market or large market potential; and headquartered in Minnesota.”
