Scheitzer staff grows; Johnson wins garlic honors

Hawk’s Brain Garlic owner Susan Johnson of Red Wing won six first-place awards at the Garlic Growing Contest: the Big, the Small and the Not-So-Ugly during the 10th annual Minnesota Garlic Festival this summer.

Johnson won six of 13 prizes, for the largest garlic heads in the Artichoke, Asiatic, Creole, Glazed Purple Stripe, Silverskin and Turban categories.
