Red Wing Port Authority opens the CARES Relief 911 Grant Program

The Red Wing City Council approved the allocation of $250,000 from the City’s CARES Act funds to the Port Authority on November 23, 2020. On December 1, 2020, the Red Wing Port Authority approved the structure of a local business financing program, the “CARES Relief 911 Grant Program”. This program has the following components:
- Up to $4,000 grant assistance is available to local home-based businesses; up to $50,000 will be initially available for these businesses.
- Up to $7,500 grant assistance is available to local small businesses with 30 or fewer employees (full-time equivalent); up to $100,000 will be initially available for these businesses.
- Up to $7,500 grant assistance is available to local non-profit organizations with 30 or fewer employees (full-time equivalent); up to $100,000 will initially be available for these organizations.
